Don Aittama Photography

Don Aittama offers hourly rate packages to match the actual length of your wedding. All weddings include a set of 4x6 prints (if you prefer not to receive the 4x6 prints a credit for the prints will be applied to your picture order). We let you determine when you want us to start and when you want us to end. Weddings rates are based on the total resulting shooting time and run as follows:

2 hours: $475 - Picture estimate: 175 to 225 Pictures

3 hours: $600 - Picture estimate: 275 to 325 Pictures

covers the wedding ceremony, formal pictures and up to 1-1/2 hours for wedding preparation and/or reception

4 hours: $725 - Picture estimate: 375 to 425 Pictures

covers up to 1 hour of wedding preparation, wedding ceremony, formal pictures and 1-1/2 to 2 hours of reception

5 hours: $850 - Picture estimate: 475 to 525 Pictures

covers up to 1-1/2 hours of wedding preparation, wedding ceremony, formal pictures and 2 to 3 hours of reception

6 hours: $975 - Picture estimate: 575 to 625 Pictures

covers up to 2 hours of wedding preparation and 3-4 hours of reception

10% Military Discount Available

Additional time is available at a rate of $125 per hour

Note: Above picture counts are estimates only - actual counts will vary depending

on the number of guests, wedding location, scheduled activities and length of the wedding.

These rates include the following:

Complete coverage of all activities for the time given

Two photographers covering each wedding

Prompt and courteous service - pictures/CD's are delivered within one to two weeks after the wedding

State of the art digital equipment is used which allows complete digital editing and retouching of all photos

Photojournalistic style

Free travel to Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Luray, New Market, Shenandoah, Standardsville, Staunton, Woodstock and Waynesboro.

For an additional travel charge, Don will travel anywhere in the state of Virginia:

Travel charges to Winchester: $50

Travel charges to Richmond and Roanoke: $75 (add $100 for wedding parties lasting beyond 9 pm)

Travel charges to Northern Va: $100 (add $100 for wedding parties lasting beyond 9 pm)

Online image posting for viewing by the family, wedding party members and guests. Images will be made available for viewing within one week after the wedding. Additional photos may be purchased directly from this site.

Quoted rates do not include 5% Va Sales Tax

In addition, packages can be custom designed using Don's flexible pricing structure. Options available include:

Enlargements up to to 20X30 (photographer must be notified prior to taking the pictures of any requests for pictures over 8X10).

High resolution CD's which can be used to print up to 8x10 pictures (receiving a CD is like getting the negatives to the pictures - the CD's can be taken to any photo development lab of your choice so that you can print as many pictures as you want). Please note that Don Aittama Photography does not guarantee the results from these prints unless they are made at a photo printing lab recommended by Don Aittama Photography

Engagement pictures

Wedding and Parent albums - available in 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 sizes. Don will custom design an album to fit your needs.

Hardbound photo books. Available in 5"x7" and 8-3/4"X 9-1/2" sizes. Photos are printed directly on each page in a hard bound book. The number of pages can vary depending on the size of the book. The 8-3/4" X 9-1/2" books can be custom designed to include any captions or descriptions you want. Two hours consultation time to build a custom designed book for you is included in the price. Starting prices range from $75 to $150.
Don's Sales and Pricing Policy:

Don will provide you with a price list up front and let you decide how much you want to spend so that you keep your total spending within your budget. There will never be any hidden charges or surprises when the final bill is received and there will never be any high pressured sales pitches. Complete written estimates will be provided for all custom packages for your approval prior to the wedding.

Payment terms: 1/2 deposit required to book the wedding and the remaining balance due upon receipt of the 4x6 prints. Don accepts checks, Visa and Mastercard.

Wedding Photography Rates
